Template Guide

Templates are a way of coding Photo Heddate so that by typing a simple code into a wiki, it automatically replaces it with whatever you want.



First you must set up a template wiki (site help template for example) for the shortcuts to be taken from. This is just a normal wiki.



The template wiki must be set out with the code you wish to use, a colon, and then whatever you wish it to be replaced with. Text, tags, images, it all works.

It is a good idea to use capital letters for your codes, as these will be used less often in just randon talk. If you set "the" as a shortcut, every time "the" is typed, the insert will appear, not only when you want it to.



Now, add this to the first line of the wiki in which you wish to use the template:
Template:(name of template wiki)

Template:site help template



Now, whenever you type one of those codes into that wiki, whatever you typed in the template wiki will replace it!
